I chose the title "More Than Mulching" for obvious reasons. Pete Rose, Inc. Landscape Products does so much more than mulch. We've been in business for more than 35 years and the company has grown from a solitary man selling topsoil from a truck into a business that, along with our sister company the Glen Allen Nursery, now encompasses more than five acres of landscape products.



The goal of this blog is to provide readers some answers to questions they might have about landscaping products, methods, and hopefully keep folks abreast of the current state of the industry. For instance, did you know that adding stone veneers on building fronts has a positive impact on heating and cooling the building? It's true. Stone holds heated and cooled air inside, while it repels heat and cold from the outside. And stone is a natural product. You simply cannot get more "green" than taking a natural product from the earth and "recycling" it to reduce energy consumption while beautifying structures.
